Career Connections with schuh in Edinburgh

On June 3rd we’re heading to Edinburgh for our next speed mentoring event in partnership with fashion-footwear retailer schuh, all with a view to creating more opportunities to support emerging talent on their journey into the industry.
This upcoming event is open to individuals who have a wide range of interests across the fashion and retail space. Whether you’re exploring potential career paths, studying a related subject, or already taking steps into the industry, we welcome applications from those who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn more about what a career at schuh could look like.
You’ll have the chance to meet professionals from across the business to learn about what life at schuh is like, before having a 1-2-1 speed mentoring session where you can ask questions, gain advice, and better understand the variety of roles and pathways available (no matter where your interests lie)

What is the format?
- 6pm Guest arrival and networking
- 6:15pm Life at schuh Breakouts
- 6:45pm Speed mentoring session begins
- 7:15pm Peer networking over drinks
- 8pm Event close
Things to know
- As with all of our events, the session is aimed at a diverse pool of talent, in particular, those who come from underrepresented communities. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Identify as being from a lower socio economic background OR
- Have received free school meals OR
- Identify as being from a marginalised community i.e. ethnic minority, LGBTQ+, have a disability etc
- This event is intended for people aged 18+ and you will be required to provide proof of age should we request it upon your arrival
