Mentoring and Paid Internships

Mentorship FAQs

Become a mentee of our mentoring programme, Fashioning Emerging Professionals, and develop the skills to become a diverse next generation leader of the fashion industry and creative sector.

Fashioning Emerging Professionals Programme

Having recognised the barriers for diverse talent to access opportunities in the fashion industry and creative sector, we developed our multi-brand programme, Fashioning Emerging Professionals, as a way to narrow that gap.

We want to help 18-28 year olds from diverse backgrounds to excel in the fashion industry or creative sector, by pairing you with an industry professional for 16 weeks of 1-2-1 mentoring, which is followed by the opportunity for mentees of our cohort to apply for a paid internship role at the close of the programme with one of our partner brands.

Previous brand partners include All Saints, ASOS, the British Fashion Council, Dunhill, FARFETCH, Fred Perry, Lazy Oaf, Orlebar Brown and Pangaia.

Programme details

  • We run TWO scheduled programmes per year
  • Mentees will be UK based, and aged between 18 and 28
  • Mentees will come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds or identify as being from a minority group
  • We partner with up to 6 leading brands and businesses per cohort, to recruit industry professionals from their teams to become mentors
  • Mentors will be mid to senior management level
  • Each mentor is given training in best mentoring practice, and will be able to bring these skills back to the business, along with a deeper understanding of diversity and inclusion
  • Mentees are matched with an industry professional for 1-2-1 mentoring and guidance over 16 weeks (8 sessions for 1 hour every fortnight)
  • At the close of the programme, mentees who have successfully completed the programme will have the opportunity to apply for a selection of paid internship roles at one of our partner brands (each brand provides only ONE paid internship role per cohort)

If this sounds like an opportunity that will help to supercharge your career, then please sign up to our mailing list to be notified about when applications open for our next cohort.
