Job Description
What you’ll be doing…
- Management of month-end accounting for capital expenditure and depreciation/amortisation, including variance analysis and preparation of monthly journals.
- Ownership of rolling up the total company capex forecast and budget – challenging submissions from workstream teams and presenting final outputs to the CFO with recommendations
- Responsible for tracking spend on a project-by-project basis and providing insightful reporting that allows decisions to be made on the investment programme.
- Overseeing preparation of business cases and post-implementation reviews for large projects, business partnering with finance and non-finance colleagues to ensure financial details are complete and accurate and key ac-counting information is recorded to support financial reporting during implementation and post go-live.
- Owning any ad-hoc queries around capital expenditure, depreciation and leases, providing insightful analysis
- Driving improvements to capex processes – ensuring we are implementing best practices to have efficient and effective capital governance that enables the business to prioritise activities and support business growth

Qualifications
We’d love to meet, someone with
- An accounting qualification (preferably ACA, ACCA, CA or CIMA).
- Business partnering experience.
- A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
- A strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Advanced skills in Excel.
- A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
- An ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
- Commercial awareness.
- Good communication/ interpersonal and influencing skills.
- The ability to be proactive within a fast-paced, dynamic environment susceptible to change
