Breaking into Fashion Journalism Event
London, Shoreditch
A role as a fashion journalist is an exciting and fast-paced career that can allow you to captivate an audience through imaginative and focused storytelling.
But the barriers to breaking into the field can often prove difficult to scale without having the right help or connections.
Join us this December for our hybrid event, Breaking into Fashion Journalism, as we connect aspiring fashion journalists with inspiring professionals who will provide guidance based on their own learnings.
What is the format?
Broken down into two parts, our journalism focused event is about helping you to get a little closer to the source.

The Writing Brief
This is an opportunity for you to showcase your writing skills and flair, whilst allowing us to understand your ability to respond to a brief as set by us.
We’d like you to write an 800 word piece, based on the theme found here, which you should submit along with your cover letter. This will be reviewed and shortlisted to a final group of five mentees.
As a finalist, your writing will then be reviewed and critiqued by industry talent that includes editors and senior writers, ahead of a 1-2-1 mentor feedback session that will be hosted online via video call.
This online mentoring session will be an opportunity to receive constructive feedback, whilst giving you the chance to pose questions about the industry in an informal setting.
For further information on how to apply, please head over to our Project Briefs page.
